Listening Books could not survive without the donations we receive from charitable trusts and individuals. We need to raise enough money each year to provide an essential service to approximately 4,000 members, all of whom have a print impairment, range in age from 6-100 and live throughout the UK .
" Lydia was born with Hemiplegia and has limited use of her left arm, hand and leg as well as poor concentration, epilepsy and learning difficulties. She finds holding a book and concentrating on reading a page extremely hard, especially at the end of a long school day when she has been struggling to keep up with her peers. She adores the Listening Books...as they enable her to relax totally and listen to some lovely stories, beautifully amazingly read at the end of her long day." Can you help us?
As an individual there are many ways that you can donate:
What your donations can buy for Listening Books
10p buys one CD case.
16.5p buys one blank CD.
19p buys one CD envelope to send out MP3 CDs securely to our members and allow them to bo posted back.
35p buys one blank cassette tape.
£3.70 buys a small cassette box (which holds up to 9 tapes) to send out the tapes securely to members and to allow them to be posted back.
£4.70 buys a large cassette box (which holds up to 12 tapes) to send out tapes securely to members and to allow them to be posted back.
£50.00 buys one unabridged master from publishers. We can typically make 10 copies for our members from this master.
£110.00 pays for one month's secure storage for our masters.
£150.00 pays for sponsorship of one year's full membership for an individual.
£20,024.00 pays for one average quarter's postage bill.

Give As You Earn
Listening Books runs a Give as you Earn scheme which means you can support our work each month directly from your earnings, with minimum disruption to you. If you feel you would like to contribute to our charity in this way, please send us an email: donations@listening-books.org.uk
A Legacy for Listening Books?
Leaving a gift to Listening Books in your will could guarantee a lifeline for our members in the years to come.
