Podcasts are having a moment. There's been a massive increase in listeners over the past few years. Since the unprecedented success of Serial in 2014 sparking the fascination with true crime, podcasts have only grown. In 2018, Listening Books created their own podcast, Voluminous, all about reading and audiobooks.

Simon Lelic is the bestselling author of five books, including The House and his latest release, The Liar's Room. Before starting to write novels he studied history and previously worked as a journalist. He lived in London for several years before moving down to Brighton with his wife and three children. The House was chosen for the Radio 2 Book Club in November 2017.

Robin Stevens is the author of the bestselling Murder Most Unladylike series and The Guggenheim Mystery. She was born in America, but grew up in England. She attended Cheltenham Ladies College, where she read a lot of murder mysteries. The Murder Most Unladylike series follows Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong, who set up the Wells and Wong detective society, and investigate their first case after Hazel discovers the murder of the science teacher Miss Bell at the Deepdean School for Girls.

She has been Vice Chair of the Romantic Novelists' Association, and her books have been shortlisted for Contemporary Romantic Novel of the Year Awards. At Listening Books, our library is made up of audiobooks from publishers like Penguin and HarperCollins, as well as audiobooks we record in our studios. So, as well as audiobooks read by celebrities such as Stephen Fry, we also work with narrators who volunteer their time. If you've borrowed a Horrible Histories audiobook from our library, or swotted up before an exam with a York Notes A Level guide, then it was most likely made in our studios.
