'I have recorded 9 plays now and I’m really proud of what we've achieved. I’m always amazed at the amount of talented people that come in for auditions and the recording days are brilliant; having a full cast in our studios, the place is full of energy and wonderful chaos!' Will, Audio Engineer
Hearing a play performed by a group of actors can help with understanding the text, particularly if the language is unfamiliar, such as with a Shakespeare play.
One of most regular volunteers, Paul Vates, had this to say:
'I have been in two plays, they’re incredibly enjoyable to record, because you’re bouncing off other actors, and I think that enjoyment and spark comes through in the final recording. As an actor you are part of the play’s ongoing history, and with that comes a responsibility to bring alive the words and characters for Listening Books’ members.
We are always searching for new voice talent, so if you are an actor and would be interested in donating your time to Listening Books to record a play, or another of our educational audiobooks, please email your audio showreel to email@example.com
Our audio producer will then get back in touch.
