Donating to Listening Books

Listening Books could not survive without the donations we receive from charitable trusts and individuals. We need to raise enough money each year to provide an essential service to approximately 100,000 members, all of whom have a print impairment, range in age from 6-100 and live throughout the UK. Your donation will go towards helping the widest range of people with varying disabilities including dyslexia, arthritis, cerebral palsy, ME, MS, glaucoma and autism to name just a few. Scroll down to find out how your money could be spent. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering donating to Listening Books.

What your donation could buy;

  • £20 pays the average daily expenses of one volunteer to come in and help at the charity.
  • £65 pays the average cost of one additional title for the library.
  • £150 pays for the true cost of one year's membership for an individual using our service.
  • £600 pays for one average month's postage bill. More than three quarters of our members do not qualify for the 'Articles for the Blind' scheme, we must therefore pay the postage for them.
