Our Work with Children's Hospitals

We know just how important it is to have escapism and access to stories when you are immobile, isolated or in hospital, which is why in 2016 we began working with the excellent charity Read for Good, who provide printed books to children in hospital.

As part of our partnership, we have been able to provide children with access to our audiobook library.  We are very lucky to have worked with some generous funders who have enabled us to  offer this service entirely free to the hospitals.  Each hospital receives access to our full children’s library via 3 tablets to listen to all the books on, plus headphones, earphones, splitters and speakers!

If you work in a children’s hospital or ward, get in touch as we may be able to get stories into your hospital too!  Contact Louise at lbarling@listening-books.org.uk to find out more.

Loving our Listening Books, they bring so much pleasure and it is lovely to be able to sign up children for free membership to Listening Books so they can continue to enjoy the service once they are discharged.
