Using the Libby app provided by OverDrive to listen to audiobooks

Our download and streaming partner, OverDrive, provide a free app that you can use to access our audiobooks on a smartphone or tablet. Using the app, you can borrow and download titles to your device, keeping all of your current checkouts in one place. This is particularly useful if you are on the move, won't have access to Wi-Fi, and don't want to use up your mobile data to listen to a book.

Below we've outlined how to get the app, and included links to the OverDrive pages, where you can download the correct app for your device. Alternatively, you can find Libby in the app store for your device. You can use the app to access our service, or you can use our website to listen online.

If you want to use Libby online, you can visit https://libbyapp.com/ and login and follow the online instructions to add the Listening Books library.

Libby makes it easy to access our audiobooks, and will automatically download titles once you have borrowed them.

To get the app:

1. Visit the app store
2. Search for the Libby app, which is free to download and use
3. Select and download it to your device

Adding the Listening Books library, adding your account and selecting a book:

Tap to open the app
Tap on the middle circle and select Add A Library
Search for Listening Books, and then Add A Library Card (this is your username and password
Tap on a book cover, and then select Borrow
