However, buying them or joining subscription services can be expensive, and free audiobooks aren’t always the best quality. We believe that cost shouldn't be a barrier to accessing audiobooks, which is why we run a sponsored membership scheme for those that find our annual membership cost prohibitive. Our free memberships are funded with the kind support of charitable trusts and companies, and enable us to provide a full year's membership to our service.
We have hundreds of wonderful fiction and non-fiction titles in our collection, including popular authors such as Marian Keyes, David Walliams, Agatha Christie, Roald Dahl, Lee Child, Maeve Binchy and many more. We have set texts and study guides supporting school aged children from 7 to 18. Many of our educational titles are recorded in our professional digital studios and aren’t available anywhere else!
If you, or someone you know, would find our usual membership fees of between £20 to £45 per year a barrier to joining, we may be able to help. You can join online here, or alternatively, you can download and complete this application form. Schools can apply for up to 10 free memberships for any pupils with a learning difficulty, illness, disability, or mental health condition which affects reading or holding books and who would find our usual membership fees a barrier to joining. To apply for some free memberships for your pupils, please download and complete this application form.
You can return completed forms via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by post to Listening Books, 12 Lant Street, London, SE1 1QH.
