I just needed a change.
I have listened to all 4 books and really enjoyed them. You learn magic lore, along with the main character. This world's background is well thought out.
The second character has been on the darker side,learning how to survive. Though looked down upon he becomes the linchpin of the team.
For the cat lovers out there, you get a talking cat. A very cutting wit, very CAT.
These books are well written plots, and a brilliant back story that slowly becomes an urgently issue.
The writer has given you everything you need, or demand as a reader in many types of books. If you want a change from murder, action & adventure, drama, cosy... Then this is a great laugh, with a bit of all wrapped in magic. Not Hogwarts, more Dresden files. Hope to see this series continue.
