New Christopher Paolini interview as part of our Ask the Author series now live on our YouTube channel

Christopher Paolini is one of the biggest living fantasy authors, having shot to fame with ‘Eragon’ and ‘The Inheritance Cycle’. Following on from the fantastic interview we did with him back in 2015, we wanted to ask members and followers of Listening Books what they would ask Christopher if they could ask him anything. We got so many questions! And we put the best to him. Hear Christopher talk about his characters, and answer previously unasked questions, as well as talking about his new book and what he is working on next!

Chair of Listening Books Gillian Howarth on the sad passing of Listening Books President Baroness Warnock

As Chair of Listening Books I speak on behalf of my fellow trustees, our staff and all our many members in mourning the death of Baroness Warnock, our President of over twenty years. Her long and distinguished career as a philosopher, teacher and ethical thinker was a source of inspiration far beyond the academic and medical spheres she was particularly associated with. Both her hugely influential report on human fertilisation, and her championing of children with special educational needs being included in mainstream education, showed her wisdom and deep humanity. Her backing of Listening Books was a source of great pride for us. It was entirely consistent with her outlook on inclusion that she wished books to be available in a format that would give them the widest currency; she believed passionately in the accessibility of books as a human right. We will miss her sorely.
